In Loving Memory

The Safirstein, Lauer and Schreiner families would like to thank each and every one of you for your outpouring of love and support.  We have read so many of your stories telling us of your connection with my father, Z”L, and they give us so much chizuk.  For those of you who have not shared your personal story, if you can please do, it means a lot to us.

  1. I was so devastated to hear about the petira of your dear father zt”l. He was an incredible individual who truly dedicated himself to the klal. His chesed and sensitivity is something I’ll never forget. He took such great interest in every detail of the issue I described and patiently explained his plan for treatment- and the science behind it! Your father taught me a powerful lesson in hakaras hatov. My aunt, Reb. K. is the one who recommend your father to us. When bH the issue had been resolved your father asked me if I told my aunt that things were better. He told me that it’s important I do because she was a shaliach in the yeshua and that she may still be worrying about us! Unbelievable.

    To the Safirstein family,
Although there are many stories that are much more amazing than mine, to me it’s wonderful and I would like to share it with the family of this most amazing man.

About a year ago, I found out that the pain I was feeling, that was preventing me from walking more than short distances. was caused by arthritis. I asked HKB”H for a cure for this “incurable” problem I read a letter about your amazing father in the Yated Neeman, regarding him having cured cancer for someone. I didn’t give it much thought until I read two letters in response also about having been cured of cancer. I called your father asking about a cure for arthritis. He told me even if the arthritis is not cured, I will be in better health.

And so it happened. I lost 15 pounds due your father’s encouragement to eat healthy. My border-line high cholesterol went down by 30 points, in a matter of weeks. I was inspired to better health by a video series he recommended called “The Truth about Cancer”. All in all I am a healthier, happier person because HKB”H sent me to your father. And as far as arthritis being “incurable”, while it has not gone away completely, within a month or two it stopped getting worse. And since then, it has noticeably lessened. With Hashem’s help, may the progress continue.

May your father be a Mailitz Yosher for all of you, his wonderful family. And for all of us, in various health situations.

May all of you have a year of good health and of pride in all that Avrohoim Yitzchock HaKohen Safirstein Z’L has done for hundreds in all Kevutzot of Klal Yisroel.

P.S. Let me mention one of your father’s many admirable characteristics. That every member of Klal Yisroel, no matter where they live, no matter what they wear or don’t wear on their head, no matter what language they translate our holy Torah into, was a brother or sister to him.

  3. It is very hard to put into words our thoughts and feelings. We realize that Mr. Safirstein, z”l, was a shaliach from HaShem, but still, his tireless efforts and devotion to helping others gave him the zechus to help save our precious son’s life. There will never be adequate words or actions to express our appreciation, but we are sure that ר’ אברהם יצחק בן ר’ ישראל משה הכהן ז”ל is now sharing in the reward for our son’s mitzvos and learning.

  4. Your father OBM helped us with our son Elisha Meir Cohen zl.
diagnosed at age five with a brain tumor and unfortunately gone too soon.
With Rav Avraham guidance we felt we were not alone! we wish we knew about him earlier in the diagnosis.
Im sure our son Elisha greeted your dad in the highest place in haven a place where only complete Tzadikim go to. May Hashem comfort you all among the mourners of Zion.
    Warmest Wishes!
